| Son
of a carpenter, from 1690
to 1716 dedicates its scientific engagement in the astronomical
observations. Its first interests electrical workers appear in a letter
of 1708 to Hans Sloane, in which it has described the use of the piume
in order to find the electricity. Between 1720 and 1736
publish
eight memories on electrostatic searches, to which its reputation is
tied. In 1729 it exposes the insulator and conductor concept. |
